Lets give this a test drive

Okay, so I’ve been trying to get around to doing this for a long time now, so here’s a blog post. Whoa, this is a bit weird. I remember back in 2007 when I was working in New York City in Midtown. A couple of my colleagues were discussing blogging, and one of them said ‘blogging is cool’, which I have thought about since that day (not every second, I’m not crazy!). So, I guess this has been a long time in the making.

So I guess I’ll start with making a bit of a hubbub about the recent news that the Iphone 7 is in the making. I can’t really tell if I’m the biggest Iphone fan at the moment. I had a Windows phone, then a Droid, and went to the Iphone 5c last year. The functionality is good, but I severely dislike (and maybe because I’m not a Mac guy) the buttons and some of the features. ┬áBut then again, the Windows phone was so far behind what the Iphone’s functionality level is that I can’t really complain. My wife has some sort of Samsung, and she raves about the functionality of it, so my plan is to patiently wait until I have an upgrade coming, and then latch onto one of the new Samsungs that I’ve heard people get crazy about.

I guess I’m just really not a fan of Itunes. I’ve had some bad experiences with them, and their service, which soured me on them.

Take this for instance: I bought an audiobook the other day. For some reason, my phone didn’t properly download it because it was full of pictures and some other stuff. So, I call Itunes, and they give me this massive run around thinking that I’m stealing from them because I’m asking to download it for a second time!? Really? You can probably see that it’s my account that downloaded it, so what’s the big issue? I finally was able to get them to give me a new download, but that was after about 30 minutes on the phone explaining my situation.

So, Samsung here I come. Or some other phone by the time I get to that magical upgrade date. Maybe I won’t have any issues with the Iphone until then, and I’ll think about sticking with it. Or maybe I’ll feel like throwing it on the floor and doing this to the screen!

I don’t want to do this now do I?

If I find myself thinking about breaking my Iphone one more time, then the issue is settled, but until then, I’ll stick with what I got.
